• Biography

  Yuno was an orphan living in an orphanage. Since she could see duel spirits the other kids thought she was weird and strange. They teased her and shunned her. Because of that, she spent most of her time playing with duel spirits instead.
  
  One day she was in the yard of the orphanage, chasing a few spirits. They flew off into the road and Yuno went after them. A car drove by and she was almost hit before getting pulled back by someone. It was Judai Yuki, who came to visit the orphanage with his husband, Johan Andersen. They warned Yuno about playing the street. Judai noticed the duel spirits nearby and wondered if Yuno could see them.
  
  Judai and Johan's intentions at the orphanage were to adopt a child, and the caretaker introduced them to many kids, except Yuno. Judai was more focused on getting to know Yuno, so Johan asked the other kids about her. Learning more about Yuno, Johan decided a kid who could see duel spirits would be perfect for the couple. Judai and Yuno immediately hit it off, but he wanted to see well she got along with her cards. Judai and Yuno had a small little test duel and, liking the way she dueled, Judai knew for certain that Yuno was the one. She was overjoyed to be wanted by such fun and caring parents who would love for who she was.
  
  Yuno grew up as Judai and Johan's daughter. She became quick friends with Sho and Kenzan's adopted child, Hinata and they spent a lot of time together.
  
  When Yuno turned fourteen, she and Hinata enrolled in Duel Academy, the same school their parents all went to. While Hinata passed the written and duel tests with flying colors, making it into Obelisk Blue, Yuno just barely passed both tests, ending up in Osiris Red. She was so devastated, until she told her parents and learned Judai was an Osiris Red for all three of his years at Duel Academy, and even the best student at the school. She decided her dorm rank meant nothing about her school and entered Duel Academy as a proud and optimistic Osiris Red first-year.
